Overview

We are a smoke free employer with a zero tolerance non-smoking policy.

Candidates must be able to work flexible hours Sunday through Saturday as we operate 7 days a week. We provide services from 6:00 A.M. to 12:00 midnight as the need arises. Only religion or medical issues will be excused from scheduling within this availability requirement.

Applicants are required to have a driver's license with dependable transportation. International students are the only exception to this requirement. (See J1 Student Program).

Potential employees are subject to drug testing and must pass an extensive background check. The protection of our client's interests, safety, Real Estate and personal goods are of primary importance to our safety and success.

Unless otherwise specified all positions will be considered part-time seasonal only.

Cleaning Team - Laborer

The success of the candidate in this position is the key to the success of 1st Mate. The successful employee in this position is the preferred choice for advancement to a supervisory or leadership position.

Experience is not a requirement. Applicant should be energetic, outgoing, honest, should be in good physical health and conditioning, have a positive attitude and not be afraid of hard work.

It is not possible to accurately predict our labor force needs from year to year. We review the need for seasonal support in early March and continue hiring as the demand dictates through May and for the duration of the summer season.

Typically new hire support staff starts at $8.50 per hour for their 1st season. Prior experience will be considered.

Cleaning Team - lead/supervisor

Applicants should have two or more years experience in a leadership role in the cleaning industry or equivalent field to be considered for a leadership position.

A clean driving record and valid driver's license is essential for consideration for a position in leadership. Reliable transportation is a must. Compensation is extended in the event a personal vehicle is used to complete the days assignment.

Team leads generally supervise a team of 3 staff members including themselves and have access to management via phone contact for questions at all times.
